April 4, 2009...
This was a day in our life when every parent was proud of his child...proud of his/her 2 years long journey in the "not-so-easy" management college....proud of the fact that now his kid will move towards a professional life and work for some reputed organization....the growth curve just begun. But some of us didnt had that courage to even call our parents and tell them that we are graduating tommorow. Reason is just one - we 'didnt' n we 'still don't' have the lucrative "stylized but formal"company offer letters in our hands. Every such face was saying only one thing, "recession had to come only at the time when I was going to look for a job, that is so ridiculous." So April 4, we got our degrees (so-called) and my friends who were on the verge of joining their respective companies were looking very happy...even i was happy for them. But then there was this side of people, this group of people, who was still in a dilemma or still in a shock of being "Unemployed". Some people were still colorless in that colorful ceremony of our Valediction Day. Coming days were going to be difficult as all our friends were going to leave for their hometowns or their jobtowns. N it was expected that tears would finally rolldown the cheeks of some of the most tough guys in the SBI block....But before that, one final showdown was yet to come and that came at Symphony - the Lounge. Booze spread all over, smoke - so much that i was not able to c KD who was sitting besides me and flashes all around to capture some last happy moments with all d friends. Navi was enjoying all his snacks with "sauce", mandy never looked so happy the way he looked after a couple of beers down, taau was enjoying the music with ofcourse the booze, KD just went into coma after he smoked a cigarette, yes "a cigarette" knocked down KD , Venky just decided to keep a look on Sam and his Samuelism while Manu was down on his table....i can just say, it was one hell of a party!!!!!
